Uses of CFP

2-Chloro-4-fluoropyridine (CFP, Catalog # VCCFP, CAS # 34941-91-8 , bp 140 °C) is common intermediate used in the synthesis of biological active compounds. Yin, Su and co-workers reported its use in the synthesis of the allosteric HIV-1 Integrase Inhibitor GSK3839919A ( Org. Process. Res. Dev. 202327, 217-216 ).

Ito and co-workers employed 2-chloro-4-fluoropyridine (CFP) in a Shonagashira coupling with TMS acetylene in the SAR study that led to the synthesis of the pan-TRK inhibitor CH7057288 ( J. Med. Chem. 202265, 12427-12444 ). Bristol Myers Squibb researchers Wu and co-workers utilized 2-chloro-4-fluoropyridine (CFP) to access pentasubstituted pyridines ( J. Org. Chem202287, 2559-2568 ).
